LGBT Detroit’s FOURTH ANNUAL Winter Pride Event
COLD AS HELL: FETISH FUSION
LGBT Detroit, the city’s premier Black LGBTQ+ service provider for SE Michigan, is back with more kink and fetish community thrills for its Fourth Annual “Cold as Hell: Fetish Fusion” event. This year, the Cold as Hell (CAH) series is the marquee jewel of an eight-part, multi-pronged HIV anti-stigma campaign “Togethr” campaign (the “e” is intentionally removed). This winter counterpart to the agency’s decades-long “Hotter Than July” celebration promotes safer and positive queer sexuality among Black and Latinx LGBTQ+ individuals vulnerable to HIV, particularly those who enjoy “a little extra” in their mix. This free series elevates the practices and experiences of people of color within the leather and fetish scenes while being broadly accessible. As a result of the quiet endurance of the Mpox epidemic, LGBT Detroit will film CAH’S educational kink culture exhibits on closed sets and privately screen the final cut at the Marvin Lee Building the day before the film’s public premiere on Monday, February 13, as a virtual presentation on the ColdAsHell.org website. CAH 2022 was viewed by more than 400 largely SE Michigan participants. As a new highly anticipated annual Detroit affair, “Cold as Hell: Fetish Fusion” expects to enjoy an even higher viewership.
